» Every time i double click on the screensaver icon on my desktop i got the 3d screensaver effects. How can i locate the configuration application in order to input my custom images, music, videos?
Follow these simple steps in order to load the screen saver configuration application:
- Right click on the desktop.
- Select "properties" in the pop up menu.
- When the "Display Properties window appears select the "Screensaver" tab.
- At "Screensaver" tab please select the 3D Custom Screensaver if its not selected and press the "Apply" button.
- Press the "Settings" button to load the screensaver configuration application.
» Help me ! I have received my registration data, but i do not know how to register the software !
Note that ALL registration data are CASE SENSITIVE (user name & keys). This means data entered must exactly match those sent to you. The easiest way to register the software is to CUT AND PASTE the information you received, at the correct fields, instead of typing them (remember to trim any 'spaces' at the end of the keys/username). The process is simple: click on the REGISTER tab. Then simply enter your registration name at the 'Registration name' field. Enter ONLY the KEYS you are asked for, at the corresponding fields. If you insist on typing the information, make sure you do not confuse 0 (zero) with O. If the problem persists, contact our support team.
» I have received 6 Keys, but i can only see 3 fields. What's wrong ?
Enter ONLY the KEYS you are asked for, at the corresponding fields (they are clearly indicated). The other KEYs you have received will be required for registering next versions and updates. Please keep a hard record of your keys/user name data.
» The screensaver does not display my custom photos although i am a registered user.
First of all, make sure you have the latest version. You can get the latest available version here. Secondly, you need to import at least 4 custom images in the registered screensaver, otherwise the program will use some of the default (four) images. If you want just one image to appear in the effects, you need to import that image four times.
» The screensaver does not play my videos or freezes when using the 3d Video Play mode.
The video player primarily plays MPEG 1 & 2 , AVI video formats. Depending on what other codecs you have installed on your system, and your Windows configuration, you MAY be able to use other formats as well, like ASF, MOV or DIVX.
Video performance may vary dramatically from system to system. The screensaver's performance is limited only by the power of your computer (CPU, RAM, 3d Graphics Accelerator, etc). Adding a 40 Mb video file to a low end PC , may cause the system to halt. Be reasonable.
» Why i can't see my custom images displayed in the screensaver effects?
The unregistered version displays only one of your custom images in some effects, and the sample images used by default remind you to register the software. Please register the software to fully enjoy the program, and support further development.
» I get an error when i try to run my screensaver.
- Make sure that you have installed DirectX 7.0a or above, and a 3d graphics accelerator with 8mb+. Download DirectX here.
- Check that your system exceeds the rest of the 'minimum hardware requirements'.
- Try to uninstall the screensaver and run the setup program again.
- Are you running any program on the background that could interfere with the screensaver's function ? For example, Free RAM or Web shots MAY cause errors in some cases. If the error persists, try closing all other programs, in order to identify the possible source of the problem, and contact us with the relevant information.
» How can i control all aspects of my screensaver.
3D Custom Screensaver comes with an in built "Configurator" that allows you to control every aspect of your screensaver. The configuration menu can be found in the "screensaver" panel of windows screensaver properties dialog (left click on the desktop, select "screensaver", click on the settings button)
» How can i disable the internal music?
Load the 3D Custom Screensaver Configurator. From the menu select "Music Playlist". Un check the "Enable audio" check box and press the "Save and Close button".

» I have a high end pc but my screensaver seems to run slowly, what can i do?
3D Custom Screensaver has been thoroughly tested, and runs perfectly on a machine that meets or exceeds the minimum hardware requirements.
If your system does not meet or exceed the minimum hardware requirements it is not recommended to install it on your system.
If you system meets or exceeds the specified requirements and you're still experiencing problems, then try to install the latest drivers of your 3D accelerator card and your motherboard.
» There is a long silence between the songs when i activate my screensaver.
In order to optimize the performance of your system, the in built mp3 player will start playing a new song at the beginning of each effect, and NOT during one. The next song on the list will be played when the next 3d effect starts.
» The fps display seems to stuck at 40-60 fps and doesn't get higher although i own a high end Pc.
In Standard mode (not Bench marking), for various performance reasons, the screensaver has been set to display 40 frames per second.
If you want to test your cpu/graphics card performance then try to run the in built BENCHMARK feature by pressing the respective button in the 3D Custom Screensaver Configurator menu.

» I forgot my user name and my keys. What can i do?
It is recommended to make a hard copy of your registration data. If you forgot your registration keys and/or user name then send us your FULL customer details (first name, second name, etc.) and we will contact you as soon as possible. For security purposes, lost keys will ONLY be emailed to the original email address of the registrant.
